It seems that the very popular YouTube, despite is huge hits per day, does not make money. To change this YouTube is speaking with Hollywood studios about showing film trailers. They haven’t stopped there, they have also been talking to sneaker makers. Does this mean that YouTube will just be another “Free” site where you get flooded by a ridiculous amount of ads?
It is estimated that the popular site MySpace will make $180 million in ad sales for this year. Maybe YouTube, feel they should have a piece of the pie, I don’t blame them. One thing I will say is they have to be smart about the way they use advertising on their site. It has been mentioned that the studios are looking into interactive commercial ideas. Well I guess we will have to sit back and see what happens.
