In a recent move by Malcom Turnbull, it seems community television stations are going to be getting the scrap. The sixth station for community stations, Mr Turnbull says, is not feasible and should be given to commercial stations for “testing purposes”.
While Turnbull called for community stations to move off the airwaves and online, evidence suggests that the Australian television system could not truly do a fully online delivery system. The Daily spoke to Marc C-Scott of the University of Victoria who has been following the story quite closely.
