Australians have spent the past six weeks celebrating the long awaited arrival of a local version of streaming giant Netflix, however it seems that the honeymoon period may soon be over. Since its launch in March, Netflix hasn’t had to charge GST as it operates outside of Australia. However, this is set to change after Joe Hockey’s Budget announcement with tax reform for digital services offered in Australia, requiring GST payment.
