After many broadcaster putting the pressure on YouTube to take down content from their stations. CBS has said that YouTube has played a part in it’s increase of ratings.
CBS signed a deal with YouTube about a month ago and since have uploaded over 300 videos with viewings of 29.2m in total. With 3 of their clips being in the top 25 most viewed. Dave Letterman viewers have also increased by 5% (200,000).
Is this evidence to other broadcasters that YouTube isn’t hurting them?
Will other broadcasters follow suit? Or will continue with the “See you in court” attitudes which we have seen recently?
