Last week, the paid subscription service, YouTube Red was released in Australia and New Zealand. The service is marketed to be an upgrade from the features that many people love from the original website and app. However, already the service is being seen as a competitor in the Video On Demand war, with services such as Netflix. With a one month free trial and new content that regular youtube viewers will not be able to access, it is a question of how YouTube red will affect the video on demand market.
